ECDSS facilitators are certified by Brookes Publishing to provide the Ages and Stages and Ages and Stages Social-Emotional Questionnaires training. Part of the job of the Early Childhood Educator is to screen young children along their developmental journey. Developed by Jane Squires and Diane Bricker, the ASQ and ASQ:SE systems are simple, non-judgmental tools that allow parents and educators to observe and document a child’s progression through development. Using observations and daily interactions the ASQ and ASQ:SE provide a more complete picture of a child’s development as compared to a more traditional “single snapshot” assessment.
