The Fort Saskatchewan Early Years Coalition, in partnership with Early Childhood Development Support Services (ECDSS), invites you to join us for a screening of Resilience: The Biology of Stress and The Science of Hope. This documentary takes a closer look at the impact of toxic stress on children’s development and life trajectories. Drawing on the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACES) and subsequent research, Resilience not only shows us what can go wrong, but how children, parents, teachers, doctors, family support professionals, and other community members can address and prevent these experiences. Following the film screening, please join us in a discussion about the implementation of trauma-informed care in Alberta.
