Professional development at ECDSS focuses on building relationships and understanding with those we serve, not simply downloading information. We believe that learning one specific way to serve families only allows you to support those whose needs fit into that particular box. Conversely, when you learn the philosophy, theory and skills behind a new practice, as well as the research that supports it, you are better able to incorporate that learning into your daily work supporting families’ individual needs.
Please note that beverages, snacks and lunch will be provided at all full day training sessions.
If your program is funded through Edmonton and Area Child and Family Services, a portion of your training costs are eligible for subsidy. You will require a coupon code when registering. Please contact our office for more information.
If you are a certified child development assistant, worker or supervisor and are working in an accredited childcare program you are eligible to apply for funding to reimburse you for your professional development costs. Please contact our office for more information.
